The anode and blister copper are final products from our smelters. They are the input for the production of cathodes in the company's electrolytic refineries.
Sizes and Characteristics: La Caridad Anodes T-shaped plate of approx. 300 kilos, 10 cm. wide, 100 cm. high and 115 cm. long. Ilo Blister T-shaped plate of approx. 807 kilos, 3’ 7½” wide and 3” high in its front part, 3’ wide and 2’ 4¾” high at the back, and 7½” thickess. Ilo Anodes T-shaped of approx. 435 kilos, 5 cm. wide, 97.5 cm. high and 95.5cm. long. San Luis Potosi Blister Pancake-shaped plate of approx. 1100 kilos, 80 cm. wide, 30 cm. high and 80 cm. long.

Refined copper cathodes are produced from anodes or from leaching low-grade sulphides in the SX -EW plants. They are used for wire, cable and conductors as well as for other industrial uses such as manufacturing pipes and profiles.
Sizes and Characteristics: Electrolytic Cathode Square-shaped plate of approx. 1.0/1.1 m x 1.0 m weighing, 132-185 kg. approx. per piece, with 3.0 – 3.5 cm. thickness.
Electro won Cathode Square-shaped plate of approx. 1.0 m by side and weight that varies between 25 y 60 kg., approx. 8 mm. thick. Both cathodes qualities can be either corrugated or flat in metal-banded packages of approx. 19 pieces each.

Wire-shaped refined copper is obtained from cathodic copper at La Caridad Plant or at the Amarillo-Texas Plant of Asarco under a toll process. It is used for cable manufacturing.
Sizes and Characteristics: Rolls of 143 cm. of external diameter and 100 cm. of internal diameter, average height of 85 cm. Average weight of 3250 kg.
Product Properties: Electric Resistivity 0.15176 ohm. Electric Conductivity 101%, Tension 22.24 Kg/mm2, Average Elongation 40%, Average tension to rupture 50 turns. |
Molybdenum Products

A byproduct of bulk copper concentrated in our molybdenum plant. It contains molybdenum sulphide (MoS2) with low copper, iron and other insoluble elements. It is used in Molybdenum Oxide, Ferric Molybdenum and Pure Molybdenum manufacturing for applications in the steel, lubricant, car parts, etc. industries.
Presentation: Maxi bags of 2 metric tons or 200 liter metal drums.

Caustic liquid made up of sulphur, hydrogen and oxygen. Oily, colorless and odorless. It is obtained from sulfur gases produced in the fusion and roasting of copper and zinc concentrates in the acid plants of our La Caridad and Ilo copper smelters, as well as the zinc electrolytic refinery. This product is used in copper leaching, chemistry, aluminum sulphide for treating waters, food production, fertilizer ,etc.
Characteristics: Crystalline as water and translucid.

Product obtained from the Pasta de Conchos mine as all-in-one coal. It is used as fuel in the smelter plants once washed and subjected to a coking process. All-in-one coal is obtained in the areas known as El Tajo and Zona Poniente of the mine. Production capacity is increasing from approx. 400,000 MT per year to 1’000,000 MT per year, with an additional potential for expanding coal production even further in the future.
