Our dividend practice is subject to change at the discretion of our Board of Directors at any time. We pay dividends quarterly and the amount that we pay is subject to a number of factors, including our results of operations, financial condition, cash requirements, tax considerations, future prospects, legal restrictions, contractual restrictions in credit agreements, limitations imposed by the government of Peru, Mexico or other countries where we have significant operations and other factors that our board of directors may deem relevant.

For US tax purposes, dividends paid to a non-resident alien shareholder of SCC are exempt from withholding under the applicable federal tax statutes, so long as the Company continues to meet what is referred to as the 80% foreign business requirement. SCC has met this requirement and we would not expect next years’ SCC dividends to be subject to US tax withholding when paid to a non-resident alien shareholder.
